दिवाळीपूर्वी कंदिलांचे आकाश शोधून देखील आम्हाला घरी लावता येईल असा आकाशकंदिल नाही मिळाला.

मग आम्ही हा झटपट आकाशकंदिल बनवला.



पेपर चा कंदिल बनवुन त्यावर ग्लिटर गम ने बॉर्डर काढली आणि खाली लाल रंगाच्या झिरमिळ्या लावल्या.




आतल्या पेपर वर पणती आणि मोराचे नक्षीकाम केलेय. :)



ही झटपट आकाशकंदिलाची कृती

तीन सारख्या रूंदीचे पेपर. पैकी A ची उंची सर्वात कमी आहे. B ची उंची त्यापेक्षा २-३ इंच जास्त C ची उंची आणि रुंदी सारखी आहे. चौरस आहे.

चित्रात दाखवल्या प्रमाणे A च्या कडा चिकटवुन सिलेंडर बनवायचा आहे. चित्रात A1. त्यापूर्वी त्यावर हाताने किंवा स्टेन्सिल ने डिझाईन काढून कटर ने कटींग करुन घ्यावे.

आता पेपर B ला चित्रात दोन रेषा दाखवल्या आहेत त्याप्रमाणे वरून खालून साधारण एक इंच अंतर सोडून कट मारून घ्यावेत. मग A1 आणि B एकमेकांवर चिकटवावे. B ची उंची जास्त असल्याने कंदिल मध्यभागी गोलाकार फुगीर दिसेल. तेच जर B ला मध्यभागी (अर्धी उंची) घडी केली तर अजुन वेगळ्या आकाराचा कंदिल बनु शकतो.

(B च्या वरच्या खालच्या किनार्‍यांवर डिझाईन काढायचे असेल तर चिकटवण्या आधी काढलेले चांगले. मी ते आकाशकंदिल बनवुन झाल्यावर त्याची सजावट केल्याने मला फार अवघड पडले. कंदिलाचा फुगिर भाग.. मधल्या नाजुन पट्ट्या तुटू न देता सांभाळत नक्षी काढावी लागली :अओ: )

आता चित्रात दाखवल्या प्रमाणे C ला वर एक इंच जागा सोडून सारख्या अंतरावर कटर ने कट्स मारून झिरमिळ्या तयार करुन C चा वरचा भाग A1 आणि B च्या खालच्या भागाला आतुन चिकटवुन घ्यावा.
इथे रिबन वगैरे लाउ शकता. पण एकसारख्या अंतरावर लावणे वेळखाउ काम होईल. म्हणून एकाच कागदाच्या झिरमिळ्या. :)

ही अगदी सोप्प्या आकाशकंदिलाचि कृती आहे. ह्यावर हवे तसे आपण सोनेरी लेस वगैरे लाउन सजावट करु शकतो. A1 च्या सिलेंडर वर कटवर्क करून आतल्या बाजूने रंगित जिलेटिन लावल्यास अजून छान रंगीत प्रकाश पडेल.

Ganesha Sketch in color pencils

Scrummy Non-eatables !!!

There was a competition for online "Ganesh Festival" and the rule was what ever food item you present that should be made up of non eatable things, that means your dish should look savory.. mouth watering still non-eatable!!


I made all the naivedyam items by using clay or simply our kids call it like play dough.



Lord Ganeshaa's favorite food Modak, Laddoo and sweet Burfi.

And last but not the least the spicy Jumbo Wada Paav (Maharashtra's special). We call it Indian Burger !! with really hot and spicy green chillies.



All this savory food is handmade and home made ;) and those miniature things are made without using any kind of mold.

Change is only constant !

While painting this colorful face I was blank. When I finished this, someone asked me "What is the meaning of this painting?" "Nothing !" simply I replied.

Then I realized... that's the current state of my mind. Dreams, desire, anxiousness, disquiet, fear and many more things.. a mixture of emotions. Transition phase is really difficult one. It is said that Change is only Constant! Verry much true. Change is related to growth. If you do not change, you do not see, hear, feel, know or go towards anything more than what you are now. In order to gain, in any way, you must change what "is" now.
